I’m stackotter, 2 time captain of Team Oceania (at ICC 2025 & ICC 2026) and 1 time captain of Team Australia (at ECSC 2025). I’ve recently completed a Bachelor of Mathematics and have since begun working in the software development industry as a contractor. I get paid by clients to work on SwiftCrossUI.
On the cybersecurity side of things I always enjoy digging my teeth into hard binary exploitation challenges. I’ve always loved pulling things apart to figure out how they work since a young age, and in my opinion binary exploitation is a logical extension of that.
This year’s ECSC will be my 3rd ECSC, and I’m looking forward to it as always. I’ve met so many inspiring people at the past 2 ECSCs and the past 3 ICCs. It’s competitions like these that revitalise my motivation to learn whenever it wavers.
The most unique part of ECSC and ICC is that they each have an attack and defense day. There’s nowhere within Australia that you can particpate in such an intense cybersecurity simulation, especially not against teams of such depth.
